Trident Northstar Investments

Invest in the gateways
to tomorrow.

The Group's investment arm holds two standing mandates: international airport acquisition and maritime port acquisition. Both target assets with long horizons, sovereign-adjacent counterparties and defensible positions in national trade flow.

Investment thesis

Essential connections. Enduring relevance.

International airports and maritime ports connect national economies with the world. We focus on their strategic relevance, operating fundamentals, and potential to support enduring economic activity.

Trident Northstar Investments pursues these opportunities with a long-term ownership perspective. Evaluation draws on the logistics knowledge of Trident Northstar, the affiliated operating company the Group supports.

We underwrite infrastructure the way an operator does, because the operating company we work alongside moves through infrastructure every day.

Trident Northstar Investments
Operating adjacency Acquired port and airport assets would be integrated with Trident Northstar’s shipping, forwarding and logistics activity and with its five-nation partner alliance — so that what is acquired can be built and powered by a company the Group works alongside.

Standing mandates

Two asset classes. One underwriting discipline.

A focused mandate brings depth and discipline to each opportunity.

01

International Airport Acquisition

Aviation above the clouds

Acquisition, recapitalization and concession participation in international airport assets — passenger terminals, air cargo facilities, maintenance and repair estate, and the ground infrastructure that supports them.

  • Full or partial acquisition, concession and long-term lease structures
  • Aeronautical and non-aeronautical revenue underwriting
  • Cargo and MRO facility positions alongside passenger operations
  • Capital programs: terminal expansion, airside and landside works
  • Regulator, civil aviation authority and stakeholder engagement
02

Maritime Port Acquisition

Maritime freight infrastructure

Acquisition of maritime port assets, marine terminals and adjacent logistics estate, with a preference for positions that connect to lanes already served by Trident Northstar and its partner alliance.

  • Container, breakbulk, RoRo and multipurpose terminal assets
  • Port authority partnerships and terminal concession agreements
  • Landside warehousing, yard and inland connection estate
  • Throughput, tariff and berth productivity underwriting
  • Direct integration with alliance forwarding lanes
